Matus Krajnak is a Slovak-born and London-based film and TV creator. His interest lies in queer and multicultural subjects in genres comedy, comedy-drama, and drama. He writes, directs, serves as a showrunner, and also performs.

He is a member of BAFTA Connect, and DIRECTORS UK, and the BERLINALE Talents, Midpoint Institute, Mediterranean Film Institute, and Netflix-backed European Showrunner Programme alum.

In recent years, he developed an original comedy-drama series OTHER WHITE, and a feature-length film BECOMING OTHER WHITE, His award-winning comedy web series SEXFLUENCING travelled the international festival circuit and was acquired by two distributors. He directed the first German micro-drama GHOSTWRITER.

Previously, his SEX COMMERCIAL was shortlisted for YOUNG DIRECTOR AWARD in CANNES, his short drama MONOLOGUES premiered at the Academy Awards eligible WARSAW FILM FESTIVAL, and his feature script GUN FUN was second-rounded for the SUNDANCE SCREENWRITERS LAB and placed among the top 15% of entrants to the ACADEMY NICHOLL FELLOWSHIPS.

He graduated from the renowned German Film & TV Academy Berlin (DFFB). He also trained at the Columbia University School of Arts in New York. 

He was invited to give lectures, among others, at the University of the Arts in London and Kingston University in London. He served on juries for Berlinale International Film Festival and Seriencamp Cologne.
